Artist Beth Lipman discusses her artwork, "Laid Table with Etrog Container and Pastry Molds," a commission for the Jewish Museum, New York. For this work Lipman created glass replicas of holiday and food-related items including several objects in the museum's Judaica collection. The table is crowded, almost overflowing, but intermingled with the sense of abundance are references to mourning, conveying a sense of joy and sorrow mixed together. "Laid Table with Etrog Container and Pastry Molds" was on view in the exhibition "Collection Tableaux" at the Jewish Museum, New York. November 23, 2012 - February 3, 2013
